Environmental Studies Annual Scholarship

Dr. Rogene Buchholz ‘59 established the Environmental Studies Annual Scholarship to provide financial assistance to one undergraduate student who meets the following criteria.

First Preference is for the applicant to be an Environmental Studies Major within the sustainable business track.
If no qualifying applicant from the sustainable business track applies, than any Environmental Studies Major who meets the scholarship criteria may be considered for the scholarship.

  • Recipient must be in good academic standing
  • A minimum 3.0 cumulative Grade Point Average is required
  • An essay is required. The requested essay should describe the reasons why the applicant decided to pursue environmental studies AND the applicant’s reasons for pursuing the specific track. The essay may be no longer than two (2) typed double-spaced pages.

  2. Is your cumulative GPA equal to or greater than 3.0?
  3. If you are selected as a recipient of this scholarship, will you be FULL-TIME (12-18 credit hours per semester) for the 2020-21 academic year?
  4. This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to an Environmental Studies Major. From the list provided, please select the Environmental Studies major/track you are majoring in.
  5. Please submit an ESSAY that describes the reason why you (the applicant) decided to pursue environmental studies AND your reason for pursuing the specific track. (The essay may be no longer than two typed double-spaced pages.)
