Margaret E. Youel Memorial Scholarship - Study Abroad for FALL Semester

Margaret “Maggie” Youel, originally from Crystal Lake, IL arrived at North Central College with aspirations of studying abroad and becoming a Spanish teacher. Maggie proudly selected to attend North Central College following in the footsteps of her older brothers, Ben ’09 and Gabe ’11. During her sophomore year, Maggie suffered a sudden and serious stroke which required a lengthy hospital stay and extensive therapy. While the obstacles in the months and years following her stroke were great, Maggie approached each new hurdle with tenacity, perseverance, and an overwhelmingly positive attitude.
