Bill Shatzer and Suzanne Shatzer Doerge Scholarship

The purpose of the Bill Shatzer and Suzanne Shatzer Doerge Scholarship Award is to honor the life and accomplishments of Bill Shatzer (Class of ’42) by providing financial assistance to a North Central College student who demonstrates similar leadership and determination to overcome personal disadvantages.


  • Full-Time North Central College student
  • If a continuing North Central student, must be in good academic standing
  • Incoming freshman students, incoming transfer students, and returning students are encouraged to apply.
  • Preference shall be given to graduates of Mooseheart High School.
  • Financial need may be considered
  • An essay is required.
