Heidi Lang '64 Brewer Scholarship

The Heidi Lang Brewer Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students majoring in Education with a concentration in English literature and/or language arts.

Heidi Lang Brewer grew up in Japan and was the child of German missionaries. She attended North Central College because of a generous 4 year scholarship provided to missionary students. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Education, graduating in 1964, and her career was teaching English and language arts in the Lisle Public school system. She loved literature and working with children to stretch their thinking.

Eligibility:

• Full time, undergraduate student
• Must be currently enrolled at North Central College
• Must be majoring in Education (concentration in English Literature/Language Arts)
• Must be in good academic standing
• Must maintain least a 3.5 cumulative GPA
• Preference may be given to a student with financial need

The Heidi Lang Brewer Scholarship is not renewable, but recipients are invited to apply each year.
