As First-Generation students themselves, Mr. Zac Dougherty & Mrs. Erin Stephens attended NCC with little direction and even less financial support. They each worked multiple jobs to support themselves and their families during their time as students and know all too well the struggle to find direction.
Impact
Donors for the Men with a Hardt for Nursing Scholaraship, which they formed in honor of Marguerite Degenhardt, former Pre-Health Advisor at North Central College and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. The goal is to help diversify the nursing field by encouraging and supporting young men and/or students of color to consider a career in the field. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in the Pre-Nursing Program at North Central College.
