Mock Trial Scholarship at North Central College

The Mock Trial Scholarship at North Central College was established as an intercollegiate activity that promotes critical thinking, cooperative problem-solving, public speaking and mutual trust amongst team members while affording students the opportunity to actively participate in the trial process.

  • Mock Trial is not a pre-law activity
  • Open to all majors and interests
  • Participation is required for this scholarship
  • Students can earn course credit for participating
  • Applicants must have applied and been accepted to North Central College before being considered for the award.
  • Students may be asked to come to campus for a brief in-person interview before awards are made.

A limited number of Mock Trial Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to incoming first-year students and incoming transfer students who indicate a commitment to the North Central College Mock Trial Team. (Please Note: Current North Central College students – students who are already attending North Central College – are not eligible to apply.)

RENEWAL:
Mock Trial scholarships are renewable provided that the student continues to be actively involved in the Mock Trial Program. Students currently receiving the Mock Trial Scholarship DO NOT need to re-apply for renewal. The Office of Financial Aid will contact the Political Science Department to confirm all renewals.

After the Deadline:
Because the Mock Trial Program at North Central extends beyond the time frame of this scholarship application, if you are interested in the Mock Trial Program and meet the criteria listed above, please contact Alyx Mark (admark@noctrl.edu) in the Political Science Department to see if all the scholarships have been awarded for the 2019-20 academic year.
