S.A.M. Scholarship
The S.A.M. Scholarship will be awarded to a full-time undergraduate student with sophomore status at the time of application (to be awarded junior year; may be renewed senior year at the discretion of the Donor and if the recipient still meets the criteria).
Eligible candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Junior status during the upcoming academic year
- Minimum grade point average of 3.0
- Must be involved in at least one extracurricular activity at North Central College (i.e., clubs/activities, sports, on-campus jobs)
- In good standing with the College
An essay answering one of the following questions is required:
- A YouTube video you created just got one million hits. What is the video about?
- What are the top five reasons why you are awesome?
- What does YOLO mean to you?
- French novelist Anatole France wrote “An education isn’t how much you have committed to memory or even how much you know. It’s being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don’t.” What don’t you know?
- It’s the eve of your college graduation and you are reading letters of recommendation that include the impact you had during your time as a student at North Central College. What might the letters of recommendation say?
