LEV Fellows Scholarship

The LEV Fellows Scholarship is an attractive option for students who demonstrate outstanding leadership potential and a keen interest in maximizing their leadership skills to improve the North Central College community. The Scholarship offers a $1,000 scholarship the first year it is awarded, a $1,500 scholarship the second year it is awarded, and a $2,000 scholarship the third year it is awarded. Students may apply for the scholarship as rising sophomores, juniors and seniors. Scholarship renewal is contingent on completion of the requirements outlined below.

Student Commitments:
1. Declare and progress toward completion of any LEV concentration (12 credits), minor, or major.
2. Engage in one LEV approved applied leadership role (e.g., Precepting, Resident/Commuter Assistant, Student Government, first-year mentors, board member of a student org) each academic year.
3. Attend 6 LEV events per academic year:

  • Attend the LEV Fellows Orientation/Kick-Off and Year-end Celebration each academic year.
  • Attend the LEV Signature event during Honor’s Day (April).
  • Attend at least 3 LEV approved leadership workshops/social gatherings each academic year.

4. Prepare a personal reflection paper at the beginning and close of each academic year reflecting on your progress and assessing your curricular and co-curricular leadership goals, experiences, and accomplishments.

The LEV Fellows Scholarship application is available throughout the academic year. Review of applications begins in mid-October and closes in March or when scholarship funds have been exhausted. Since there are a limited number of scholarships available and applications are reviewed as they are submitted, we encourage you to submit your application early. If you have any questions, please contact Julie Nagashima at jnagashima@noctrl.edu.
