Future Educators Excellence Scholarship 2024

We believe that every aspiring teacher has the potential to transform their dreams of a rewarding career in education into reality. That’s why we are thrilled to announce the Future Educators Excellence Scholarship 2024!

The Future Educators Excellence Scholarship has been established to support and empower aspiring teachers in their pursuit of academic and professional excellence in the field of education.

The winner will receive a one-time $1,000 scholarship to be applied to qualified expenses, including undergraduate tuition, fees, books, and on-campus room and board for the 2024-2025 academic year.

• Field of Study: Open to students pursuing a degree in education and enrolled at an accredited college or university
• Winner Announced: Friday, August 2nd, 2024

Eligibility
To be eligible for the* KURU Footwear Future Educators Excellence Scholarship 2024*, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a citizen of the US
• Be an incoming undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior or senior entering the Fall 2024 semester
• Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
• Pursuing a degree in education, childhood education, or any teaching-related course
• Be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university for the Fall 2024 semester
• Submit a 300–400 word essay answering the following question: “Please describe a specific experience that solidified your commitment to wanting to become a teacher. How did this shape your understanding of the impact teachers can have on students’ education?”

Selection Process and Notification
All applications will be reviewed by the KURU Footwear Scholarship Committee. Once the winner has been determined, they will be contacted by KURU Footwear, informed of the scholarship award, and asked to sign an acceptance letter. The winning applicant will be announced Friday, August 2nd, 2024.

• Step 1: Write a 300–400 word essay answering the question, “Please describe a specific experience that solidified your commitment to wanting to become a teacher. How did this shape your understanding of the impact teachers can have on students’ education?”

  Step 3: Submit your application no later than Friday, July 5th, 2024 at 11:59 PM PST.
