David '65 and Ruth '65 Arendsen Annual Scholarship
The David ’65 & Ruth ’65 Arendsen Annual Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a North Central third-year, residential student majoring in either chemistry or elementary education.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Full time, continuing undergraduate student (currently attending North Central)
- Entering junior/third year this upcoming fall semester (60-89 credit hours completed)
- Chemistry or Elementary Education major
- Must be in good academic standing
- Financial need required as determined by filing the FAFSA, if eligible
- On-campus housing required
Scholarship Award:
- Award amount is based on the upcoming academic year’s costs for tuition and standard fees, on-campus housing and food, and book allowance
- Scholarship is renewable if the student applies again, continues to meet the eligibility criteria, satisfies the recipient expectations, and receives renewal recommendation from department faculty
Recipient Expectations:
- Send a detailed letter of gratitude to the Donors
- Provide a year-end update, outlining your academic progress while receiving the scholarship during the past year
- Describe the impact of the scholarship in helping you achieve your educational and career goals
- Be available to participate in a virtual or in-person meet-and-greet with the Donors
