FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Competition Award
The FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Competition Award is designed to assist new, incoming first year students who actively participated in the FIRST Tech Challenge or the FIRST Robotics Competition during high school and plan to enroll as a full-time undergraduate student at North Central College.
Applicants must meet the following criteria for eligibility:
- Incoming, first year undergraduate student in the upcoming fall semester
- Enrolled as a full-time student
- Pursuing an Engineering major at North Central
- Active participation in a FIRST Tech Challenge or FIRST Robotics Competition during junior or senior year of high school
- Minimum high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Financial need is not a requirement
Applicants will be requested to provide the name and email contact information for the FIRST coach or mentor in order to confirm the applicant’s active participation and membership in FIRST.
The scholarship is renewable provided the student continues to meet the eligibility criteria as well as the College’s satisfactory academic progress requirements.
