Grace M. Dudich Memorial Scholarship

The Grace M. Dudich Memorial Scholarship recognizes the life of Grace McKenna Dudich, daughter of Ashley (’05 graduate and long-time staff member of the North Central College Admission team) and John Dudich.

Grace, a 3rd grade student in Naperville, loved school and is remembered for her sweet spirit and the kindness she exuded towards those around her. Grace passed away in February of 2019 from a sudden cardiac event at the age of 9. Though Grace did not have the opportunity to attend North Central College as alumna mom, Ashley, had dreamed, Grace will always be remembered and honored as a Cardinal.

The Dudich Family established this scholarship in Grace’s memory in an effort to assist an incoming full-time student pursuing their undergraduate education at North Central College. This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one (1) student who meets the following criteria:

  • Must be an incoming first-year student
  • Must submit a 1-2 page essay outlining the following:
  1. Your reasons for choosing to study at North Central College
  2. Your academic and co-curricular goals as a student at North Central
  3. Your career goals upon degree completion
  4. An example of a time when you were surprised by someone’s kindness, generosity or support. Please share how this experience impacted you.
