Verne E. Dietrich Memorial Scholarship

The Verne E. Dietrich Memorial Scholarship is designed to honor excellence by providing scholarship aid to an incoming first-year student at North Central College.

Eligibility Criteria:
In order to be considered, applicant must:

• Major in one of the following disciplines: physics, chemistry, or mathematics
• Additionally, an applicant must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, an outstanding capacity for leadership, and an instinct for service to North Central College and to the wider community.
• Applicant must be an incoming first-year student enrolled full-time. only incoming first-year students are eligible to apply
• A letter of reference, from any person who can speak to the applicant’s character, capacity for leadership, and/or instinct for service to the community, is requested. When submitting an application, the applicant will be asked to provide the name and email address for the person from whom they are requesting the letter of reference.

Note Regarding the Letter of Reference:
If the applicant already has a letter of reference from an individual who speaks to the character, leadership, and service of the applicant, then please email the letter of reference as an attachment to the Office of Financial Aid at finaid@noctrl.edu and request that the letter be attached to the applicant’s scholarship application. Please include the applicant’s full name, the name of this scholarship (Dietrich), and the letter of reference to be attached.

This scholarship is not renewable.
