Dane T. Scag Science & Engineering Scholarship

The purpose of the Dane T. Scag Science & Engineering Scholarship is to provide financial assistance for students who are majoring in science and/or engineering and who meet the criteria of the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Current, Full-time North Central College Students
  • Applicants must be majoring in Science and/or Engineering
  • Recipients must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25
  • Financial Need may be considered, but is not part of the criteria.
  • Essay must be submitted (see details below)

ESSAY Requirements:
For consideration, candidates must write an essay (1-2 pages; double-spaced) including all of the following information:

  1. Why they enjoy science
  2. Provide a brief discussion of hobbies
  3. Include any unusual achievement or experience
  4. Discuss hopes for postgraduate education and/or research

Health Science majors do not meet the eligibility criteria intended by the donor.
Exercise Science majors do meet the eligibility criteria intended by the donor.
Behavioral & Molecular Neuroscience majors do meet the eligibility criteria intended by the donor.
This scholarship is not automatically renewable.
