Stubbe-Truitt Endowed Scholarship
Kathleen A. Stubbe Truitt ’77 and Gary R. Truitt ’76 are proud alumni of North Central College. As first-generation students themselves, they have created this scholarship to support students in the Cardinal First program at North Central College. Throughout their careers in agricultural broadcasting, they have remained dedicated alumni of the College and have an interest in supporting future generations of students.
This scholarship will provide financial assistance for one full-time undergraduate student for one year and may be used for tuition and standard fees, housing, or books.
Recipients must meet the following criteria:
• Must be a student in good academic standing at the College
• First-generation college student participating in Cardinal First preferred
• Must come from a small or rural community, with a preference given to communities less than 10,000 in population
• Must require financial assistance in order to graduate from North Central College
• For consideration, candidates must respond to one of the following questions, in 200 words or less:
o How does the Cardinal First program impact your view of your future and your career?
o How will your North Central experience, both while and after attending North Central, benefit your family and your community?
U.S. Citizenship is not a requirement of this scholarship, but international students are not eligible.
New and past recipients are eligible to reapply.
Recipients should send a letter of gratitude and agree to a meet and greet with the donors (if so desired based on availability of the donors).
